The IW1RT interface is to be used concurrently with either of our ICBUW1, OCBUW1 or OKBUW1 Products. The IW1RT device in effect is a Wiegand converter to the RS232 port. Wiegand protocol is a special security protocol sending bit strings of specified length and specified content. When the bit string contained in a card is read and recognized by the IW1RT interface, this last in turn sends back an acknowlegment to one of our access control devices, mentioned above.
